Spiritual Direction

Hospitable, confidential, and grounded in Biblical truth, spiritual direction is a ministry that helps you grow in prayer and live into your calling as a follower of Christ.

- Christ-centered Spiritual Direction Association (CSDA)

Spiritual direction is an intentional time where we listen to, notice, and reflect on how God is moving in a your life. As a spiritual director, I offer attentive listening, prayer, and discernment to help you notice God’s invitations and how you are being invited to respond in this season. Spiritual direction is not counseling, but it is a form of companionship that holds space for God to speak to and lead a person.

I pursued training in spiritual direction out of a deep belief that God is our ultimate healer and knows what each soul needs most. Through my own experience with inner healing prayer and spiritual direction, I have witnessed meaningful and lasting transformation. These experiences led me to seek formal training, and I am currently completing the Selah Certificate Program through Leadership Transformations, receiving ongoing supervision from a Selah faculty member.

  • Yes. Directees can be anywhere in the world to receive direction.

  • Spiritual direction is considered a ministry, but in order to maintain the practice and give it the attention it deserves, I set a typical rate of $50/session. If this cost seems out of reach, directees are asked to prayerfully consider what they can give or feel led to give to support the ministry.

  • In order to maintain clarity and focus, you will need to decide between counseling or spiritual direction from me. Although there can be an overlap of some techniques and methods in both practices, it is best to have a clear picture of what is being desired so that I can give the best support to fit the needs. Per the CSDA website, “Spiritual direction differs from counseling ministries primarily in its focus: the intention in spiritual direction is not to help solve a problem, but rather to look for God’s activity within any problems and within the rest of the person’s life experience. This perspective invites you into deeper relationship with God in the midst of whatever you are experiencing.”
